Will the Audi e-tron GT compete with Tesla and Porsche?

Find Out More

Audi is no stranger to electric vehicles as the successful e-tron SUV continues to grow. However, the Audi e-tron GT has been the one of the most anticipated EV models in 2021.

The long-awaited Audi e-tron GT arrives in March 2021 and comes with the promise of competing with the current EV leaders, including the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Tesla Model S, and the Lucid Air.

The Audi e-tron GT

Firstly, how does the e-tron GT stack up? It is built on the same platform as its Porsche Taycan cousin, which is certainly a good thing!  Initially, the e-tron is going to come in two variations, quattro and RS. Both will be dual-motor and feature a 93kWh battery, meaning at the moment it will not have a shorter-range version like the Taycan. Furthermore, since the e-tron is using the same 800V architecture as the Taycan, it can reach charging speeds of 62 miles in 5 minutes.

Additionally, the e-tron GT looks like it means business. Futuristic lights and rims, no grill and slick design help the car stand out as a high-quality sports saloon.
